Biography:
Roran was born the eldest son of Kelmyar Chronosis, a prominent member of the original Arcanus Council and one of the biggest advocates pushing Nesbis Copperhand to develop weapons to win the War. Roran grew up in the Chronosis Estate in Phagos before the Great War and thus, before the nations were formally established. He comes from a long line of powerful and wealthy Chronurgy Wizards who have held position in Phagos since the city’s inception. As a child, Roran enjoyed playing games with his younger brother, Rynar, though he didn’t always play nicely. For example, sometimes the two would play hide-and-seek and when it was Roran’s turn to hide, he would simply go sit in the sun room and study old texts from the early days of elvenkind while Rynar searched tirelessly around the grounds expecting to find Roran somewhere outside where they were supposed to be playing. See, Roran was obsessed with historical books, texts, and blueprints. He could even draw blueprints for many early cathedrals and such from memory. Roran had a brilliant mind for history and there was truly nothing he enjoyed more. As the one who would someday inherit the famed Chronosis Estate, he simply could not wait to grow up and make his own mark on the pages of history. But then the Great War came, leaving an ugly stain on Lestron’s beautiful history. Roran hated it. He even fought in the War himself, but he was angry while doing so, almost even ashamed to be a part of what he considered to be history’s most wretched moment. His father also very prominently fought in the War, though he was sadly killed in battle before the bloodshed ended. Thus, Roran inherited the Chronosis Estate as he had always dreamt of, but it was almost as if it was too little too late. Roran wasn’t the same man as before. Without his father’s guidance and with his newfound disdain for what the War had done to history, Roran was a bitter man. Leading the Estate was his duty and responsibility and he vowed to always do so to the utmost of his abilities, but he did not do so as the happy young lover of history and politics that he once was. He continued the War effort until the bomb was dropped and he felt no remorse for being the one who had made the call to drop it. Despite this, Roran was one of the first to sign the treaty when Celeste stepped in with demands of peace. It’s almost as if there was a faint glimmer of excitement in him when he realized the War could finally be over. But only a faint glimmer. That happy boy who basked in the glory of Lestron’s history had been scarred by the War and might would never heal from it.
