Lestronian Bears are massive, territorial, and powerful beasts that descend from the werebear, a creature with immense strength and primal power. These bears are twice the size of a normal bear and possess a thick, extra-fluffy coat that makes them appear even larger. Their territories are sacred to them, and they fiercely defend their domain. Their magical properties are inherited from their werebear ancestors, allowing them to create illusions and instill fear in their enemies with a booming roar. Though not fully sentient, their intelligence is enough to recognize threats and defend their territory with lethal force.

Traits
Magical Aura. The Lestronian Bear has a faint magical aura that allows it to cast Minor Illusion (as a cantrip) at will. It uses this ability to mimic the sounds of other creatures or create distractions.
Keen Smell. The Lestronian Bear has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.
Territorial. The Lestronian Bear is fiercely territorial and will attack any creature that enters its territory without provocation. It can recognize creatures that have previously trespassed within its domain and becomes enraged when encountering them again.
Legendary Resistance (1/Day). If the Lestronian Bear fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.
Siege Monster. The Lestronian Bear deals double damage to objects and structures.
Actions
Multiattack. The Lestronian Bear makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.
Bite.Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 30 (4d10 + 8) piercing damage.
Claw.Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (2d8 + 8) slashing damage.
Territorial Roar (Recharge 5–6). The Lestronian Bear lets out a powerful roar. Each creature within 60 feet of it that can hear the roar must succeed on a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, with disadvantage if it is within line of sight of the bear, ending the effect on itself on a success.
Reactions
Defensive Stance. When a creature hits the Lestronian Bear with a melee attack, the bear can use its reaction to reduce the damage by 10 (1d10 + 5). If the attacker is within 10 feet, the Lestronian Bear can also make a bite attack against the attacker as part of the same reaction.
Legendary Actions
The Lestronian Bear can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. The Lestronian Bear regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Attack. The Lestronian Bear makes one claw attack. Move. The Lestronian Bear moves up to its speed without provoking opportunity attacks. Trample (Costs 2 Actions). The Lestronian Bear moves up to 30 feet in a straight line and can attempt to trample any creatures in its path. Each creature in its path must succeed on a DC 18 Strength saving throw or take 22 (3d10 + 8) bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. On a successful save, the creature takes half damage and isn’t knocked prone.
