Silver Mist Hares are elusive and prized creatures found in the forests and meadows of Lestron. Their shimmering silvery fur appears to glimmer faintly in the moonlight, and their extraordinary ability to teleport short distances makes them one of the most challenging animals for hunters to catch. The hares use their Mist Step ability to evade predators, bounding between shadows and disappearing into the underbrush before reappearing elsewhere.
Hunters prize Silver Mist Hares not only for the challenge of catching one but also for their fur, which is said to hold faint magical properties, and their eyes, which shimmer like polished moonstone. Some magical artisans use parts of the hare in the creation of teleportation scrolls and other teleportation-based enchantments.
Though harmless by nature, these hares can nip in self-defense, and their speed and agility make them nearly impossible to pin down. They are regarded as symbols of grace and freedom in Arboris and are often depicted in nature-themed art and folklore.

Traits
Mist Step (3/Day). As a bonus action, the Silver Mist Hare can teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space it can see. After using this ability three times, it must finish a short or long rest before it can use Mist Step again.
Evasion. If the hare is subjected to an effect that allows it to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, it instead takes no damage if it succeeds on the saving throw and only half damage if it fails.
Keen Hearing and Smell. The hare has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.
Quick Reflexes. The hare can take the Dash or Disengage action as a bonus action.
